Mushakkal started with a simple craving and the frustration of not being able to satisfy it. Being born and brought up in Kuwait meant being spoilt with the best Arabic food one could experience! But in India, getting a genuinely good Middle Eastern meal meant hunting for the right restaurant, paying a premium, or spending hours in the kitchen yourself.

Being a chef, I thought there has to be a better way. So we built Mushakkal — a frozen food brand that refuses to compromise. Our recipes are authentic. Our ingredients are imported. Our process is designed to lock in flavour so that what reaches your table tastes like the real thing. Every single time.

Every recipe on our menu comes from a different Arabic chef who taught me the authentic way to make it. I tested each dish against the version I grew up eating, refined it until it tasted exactly as it should, and only then figured out how to freeze it without sacrificing the flavor, texture, or character that made it worth eating in the first place.

That's the whole idea behind Mushakkal: the twelve hour cold chain, the imported spice blends, the refusal to cut corners on ingredients! All of it exists so that opening a bag from your freezer feels the same as being handed it to you from Kuwait itself — and the fresh sauces that go along with literally everything, whether it be garlic banging thoum or the nutty, smooth tahini! No shortcuts, no compromises, just food that tastes like where it came from.
